Dried and frozen

The fact is that fresh spinach is not recommended to be stored for more than 2 days. And since it is quite difficult to find fresh leaves in winter, many often try to prepare spinach leaves for the winter by freezing or drying them. When frozen, spinach retains all the same beneficial properties as fresh spinach. But, unlike fresh, it does not contain nitrates, so it is safer.

  4. Simmer until the milk has partially evaporated.

There is no specific dosage of this dish for patients with pancreatitis; often, spinach is generally recommended to be excluded from the diet.

With gastritis

If the disease develops against the background of low acidity of the stomach, then spinach will be very useful. But if the acidity in the stomach is increased, then it is advisable to exclude spinach from the menu altogether.

With this disease, you can add a delicious spinach soup to your diet:

  • Garlic - 4 cloves.
  • Onions - 1 pc.
  • Egg - 2 pcs.
  • Butter - 130 g.
  • Milk - 500 ml.
  • Spinach - 300 g (fresh) or 150 g (frozen).
  • Cream - 250 ml.
  • Water - 2 glasses.

Preparation:

  1. Melt 50 g of butter, mix with flour and fry until flour turns pink, let cool.
  2. Wash and chop the spinach leaves.
  3. Peel and chop the garlic and onion.
  4. Eggs only need yolks - they need to be beaten.
  5. Fry the garlic and onion in the remaining butter.
  6. Add spinach, cover with water and cook until the leaves are soft.
  7. Mix milk and yolks, add all other ingredients to them.
  8. Now let the soup boil.
  9. Stir occasionally to avoid burning.

With diabetes

Spinach stimulates the secretion of insulin from the pancreas, therefore, for diabetics (the second type of disease), this vegetable is simply irreplaceable. At least 150 g of spinach should be consumed per day, even for people who do not suffer from diabetes - this will reduce the risk of its occurrence by almost 20%.

You can, for example, add a spinach cocktail to your diet:

  • Spinach - 100 g.
  • Water - 220 ml.
  • Banana - 0.5 pcs.
  • Cucumber - 1 pc.

Preparation:

  1. First of all, grind the washed spinach in a blender.
  2. Add half of the amount of water taken, beat again.
  3. Add the peeled cucumber, banana, remaining water and chop until smooth.

From the amount of ingredients taken, you will get 2 servings of the cocktail.

With gout

Is it possible or not to eat a vegetable for gout? Spinach can still be added to the diet, but in limited quantities. From time to time, you can add lettuce leaves to dishes (soups, salads, casseroles, drinks, etc.), but do not lean on it too much and, if possible, replace it with other vegetables.

In cosmetology

Spinach face masks are very popular. There are a lot of them, but there are 3 main recipes that are the most common and effective.

  1. Anti-aging. Boil 50-100 g of leaves in milk to a state of gruel. Put the resulting mass on cheesecloth and apply to the face for 20 minutes. Rinse and then apply a nourishing cream.
  2. Nutritious. Pour boiling water over 100 g of leaves (0.5 cups). Let it brew, then add 1 tsp. carrot juice, 1 tbsp. honey and a few drops of essential oil. Stir and apply to face and neck. Hold for 20 minutes, then rinse with cool green tea and apply cream.
  3. Whitening. Grind 100 g spinach, add 1 tbsp. olive oil and a little lemon juice. Apply to face for 20 minutes and rinse with cold water.

With colitis

Spinach is not recommended for colitis, due to the content of the same oxalic acid in it. However, it can be added to the diet in small amounts if the disease is in a stable remission stage. However, in this case, it is imperative to consult with your doctor. If he permits, then preference should be given to young leaves.

Can I give to guinea pigs, dogs, rabbits, hamsters?

Spinach plays an important role not only in cooking and cosmetology, but due to its chemical composition, it is excellent as feed for many animals.
