The Marmande tomato is a thermophilic plant and prefers light fertile soils.... These tomatoes can be grown through seedlings or open field sowing. Seeds are sown for seedlings from 1 to 10 March.

For this, pots filled with nutrient soil are used, the size of which is 10 by 10 centimeters. In these pots, the seedlings are 55-60 days, after which they are planted in the garden. This usually occurs in the second decade of May.

IMPORTANT! The distance between the plants should be 50 centimeters and between the rows 40 centimeters. One square meter of land should contain from 7 to 9 plants.

If you want an early harvest, you can plant the seedlings in the garden in early May and cover it with transparent wrap until the weather is consistently warm.

Marmande tomatoes are not recommended to be planted after physalis, peppers, potatoes and eggplants.

The ideal place to plant these tomatoes is in a sunny area, sheltered from strong winds. They respond well to organic fertilization.
